All dogs older than 6 months are required to be spayed or neutered in order to play with the other dogs. If your pet is not spayed or neutered, private play options are available. We require all pets to be up to date on the following vaccines Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella (updated every 6 months) and Lepto. All dogs must pass a first day of daycare evaluation prior to attending group daycare at Bow Wow Bungalow. Dogs who do not pass their first day and are still able to be handled by the staff are welcomed to come and enjoy private play, based on availability.

Safety is our specialty at Bow Wow Bungalow. Doggie daycare is such a fabulous option for social pups because it’s a safe, controlled environment for safe play with other friendly pets under watchful human care. Here’s how we keep our daycare safe and comfortable for all our furry guests:
Our two yards are split into two separate play groups. They are both a careful mix of dogs based on size, energy level, and temperament.
Playgroups are always supervised by our highly trained staff
Every dog must pass their First Day of Daycare to ensure they are a good match for our doggie daycare.
Pets can enjoy scheduled rest periods or breaks from over-stimulation inside our climate-controlled accommodations
Plenty of shaded areas including canopies and trees
Water park area for keeping cool on hot days
Strict vaccination standards
Fencing and gates around the facility
Temperature-controlled indoor play yard
Facility is monitored by cameras throughout
At Bow Wow Bungalow, we welcome between 75-100+ dogs a day. The pups play in groups, split across our three spacious indoor and outdoor yards.
At a facility this large, our safety protocol is of the utmost importance. Before admittance, every dog must complete a first day of daycare evaluation.
We always prioritize safeguarding your dogs. Our Three Strike Behavioral System ensures your dog's experience is safe, fair, and fun. Dogs can receive a strike for displaying repetitive unwanted behaviors while under our watch. If your dog receives three strikes, they will no longer be allowed into the play yards.
It's important to keep in mind that your dog may behave differently in a large group of dogs. We may inform you of behaviors being displayed that you as an owner have never experienced before.
Excessive rudeness and disrespect towards humans
Inability to be handled by staff
Zero name Association and no recall
Uncontrollable energy that upsets the social hierarchy
Excessive mounting or humping*
Unhealthy amount of focus on other dogs
Gate aggression
Resource guarding that leads to fights
Lunging at another dog aggressively
Pinning a dog in a non-playful manner
Bullying a dog into submission
Little-to-no bite inhibition
Defensive snapping
Severe reactive episodes leading to altercations
Snap at staff with intent to injure
Start a serious altercation or fight
*We reserve the right to expand this list to include any behavior we see fit, as well as the right to ban a dog at any point. Overtly aggressive behavior will not be tolerated.
Doggie daycare is tons of fun, but it’s also highly beneficial to your pet’s physical and mental well-being. Here’s how:
Physical Enrichment for Dogs of All Shapes and Sizes. Though it varies, all dogs deserve physical enrichment. Dog Daycare allows them to not only run and play, but to also sniff and explore their vast surroundings - our Play Yards are impressively large. It can also teach them how to relax and calm themselves down as the group of dogs is winding down for the day. We understand how busy pet parents can be. You may wish you had more time for your pet to socialize and explore - that’s where we come in.
Mental Stimulation and Social Exposure Reduces Problem Behaviors. All dogs have breed characteristics that make certain activities essential to their overall happiness. If they’re home alone with nothing to do, they will create scenarios to entertain themselves. Often that involves undesirable behaviors like barking, howling, and destruction inside your home. Dog Daycare is the perfect place for your pet to channel their attention and energy in healthy ways that are fun and rewarding.
Socialization is Key. Dogs are social by nature. For whatever reason, some dogs miss out on the correct amount of exposure they need to become confident adults. A supervised environment like ours is a great place for dogs to learn (or even sharpen) their doggy social skills and play moves. It will also help them learn proper etiquette for behavior around dogs and new people. Understanding the social hierarchy in a large group of dogs will aid in your dog’s communication skills with their own kind. Any rough play or inappropriate behaviors will be quickly addressed by our staff, as well as by our experienced dog guests. We do allow appropriate dog-to-dog corrections to take place in the yard, but only when a senior staff member or dog trainer is present, and we always interfere if it’s headed toward any type of combative scenario.
A Step Above a Pet Sitter. Doggy Daycare remains the ideal play environment for pets compared to pet sitting. At daycare, your pet enjoys a stimulating social experience in a facility built especially for their care and safety. It also avoids the uncomfortable scenario of strangers entering your home, surprise interactions with questionable dogs or people, and it gives you some peace of mind to know your pet is inside of our facility playing safely. Check in on your pups during business hours via our live webcams!
Routine rest time during daycare is not only important to the health of your pet, but also for the safety of the entire pack. Resting refers to the downtime in between playtimes during daycare. This gives your pet a chance to recuperate so they do not exhaust themselves before their visit comes to an end, which is especially important for our full day guests. Additionally, resting significantly decreases the chances of injuries within the pack. Just like with humans, rest allows for both mental and physical recovery, for their overall health and wellbeing.

We do not offer facility tours. Respectfully, we feel that allowing tours would disrupt the routine, comfort, and safety of our dogs. In the future, we will be filming a full virtual tour. Keep an eye out!
Our reception desk is closed on major holidays. There are no daycare or boarding check-ins, or check-outs allowed, with no exceptions. Our boarding dogs remain on a familiar, consistent schedule. They receive lots of loving attention from the staff and regular activity throughout the day. Closed on: New Year's Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.
Dogs must be at least four months of age to be welcomed in. In order to play with the other dogs, all dogs over 6 months old must be spayed or neutered. If they are not spayed or neutered, and over 6 months old, private care options are available. We require the following vaccines Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella (updated every 6 months) and Lepto.
Dog daycare provides several direct benefits:
Provides dogs with regular exercise to stay healthy
Relieves boredom, separation anxiety, and destructive behavior at home
Improves social skills with other dogs and people
Daycare is a safer way to play than dog parks or with pet sitters
We are a socialized dog care facility that provides a safe, fair and fun environment for your dog. The First Day of Daycare is an in-person interview with you, a trained staff member and your pup. Throughout their day, we slowly introduce them to Bow Wow via genuine interaction with our staff and the other dogs they'll be playing with. We want to give them a chance to acclimate to the smells, sounds and sights inside our facility. Every potential dog guest goes through this evaluation process. Required time for a First Day of Daycare is 4 hours.
Your dog can run, jump, and play in our expansive outdoor yards with thrilling playground equipment, an enormous bone-shaped pool, and a paw-shaped spa for swimming and splashing. We also have a climate-controlled indoor yard with a lagoon, waterfalls, and tunnels. We offer a variety of engaging playgroups, including traditional large group play, small group play with carefully selected playmates, toys, fun activities, and one-on-one private play with a loving caregiver. You can customize your dog’s playtime experience for the most enjoyable experience possible! Check out our Doggie Cams to watch your dog playing the day away.
Playgroups are always supervised by our highly trained staff and selected for size, energy levels, and personality. All team members are trained using a combination of both online classes and on-the-job training to set them up for success in monitoring the health, safety, and happiness of our doggie guests. Plus, wellness checks are conducted twice a day on each dog every day.
Daycare at Bow Wow Bungalow starts with a free evaluation to determine your dog’s play style and energy level. Before coming for daycare, please keep in mind:
Your dog should four (4) months of age or older
Spayed or neutered (if over six [6] months of age)
Current on:
Rabies
DHLPP. Leptospirosis, the “L” in some Distemper combination vaccines, should be included in the annual combination vaccine due to recent increases in Leptospirosis cases. Leptospirosis needs to be boosted annually; this is important because Leptospirosis can be deadly to dogs and is transferable to humans.
Bordetella vaccinations - injection has a 7-day incubation period and Intranasal has a 72-hour incubation. Given every 6-months.
Canine Influenza vaccine needs to have a booster 3 weeks after the initial vaccine and then a one-week incubation period.
Be in good general health and free of ticks and fleas
Not aggressive or protective of toys
Wearing a quick release collar that contains an identification tag bearing their name and guardian or owner’s current contact information
We ask that you check-in your dog at any time during our operating hours. Upon check-out, please pick up your dog during our operating hours before closing time to avoid being charged a late fee.
Our operating hours are:
When attending daycare or boarding your dog MUST have a quick-release snap collar and a legible name tag. This is crucial.
Please bring them in on a proper leash. This is for their own safety.
If you're boarding with us, you may bring dog food, beds, blankets, and even a shirt of yours for a comforting scent until your return. We also allow toys, treats, and bones for their enjoyment.
Yes! Daily daycare reservations as of right now are required. We highly recommend planning, as we have a daily limit and spots fill up quickly. Request a reservation online, through our mobile app, via email, or give us a call at (818) 565-3555.
Absolutely! We offer several enriching daycare programs. Our Reservation Specialist will help customize your dog’s daycare experience and find the best program based on your dog’s interests and desires. You can also add spa treatments to your dog’s day, including a bubble bath, gentle ear cleansing, pedicure, and blueberry facial.
We are happy to accommodate dogs with special needs, such as medication administration and meal or snack preparation. Please be sure to discuss your dog’s needs with our Reservation Specialist when scheduling daycare for your dog.
We offer private boarding and daycare for pups who do not like to socialize with other dogs. With this, your pup will have their own room and get one on one interaction with a human throughout the day.
Our private services allow certain dogs to play or stay with us without any dog-to-dog interaction. Yay!
If your dog is over 6 months and not spayed/neutered we can accommodate them.
If your dog doesn't get along well with other dogs but loves people, they are welcome here.
If your dog is people-reactive and cannot be handled, sadly we can't accommodate them at Bow Wow Bungalow.
